Aim Building Contractors was founded by Andrew Imlah in 2013, with James Grainger joining the ranks in 2015.
Both Andy and James come from a carpentry, building & construction back ground, with over 50 years of combined experience in the industry.
Andy and James had the vision to take the residential & construction industry to the next level, personalise the experience of building and Aim Building Contractors was born.
Today Aim Building Contractors prides itself on the personalised service, family orientated touch to meet the client’s needs and dreams.

Recent renovation project
We first met Andy and James through a mutual friend several years ago, and were reintroduced when we began speaking with a number of builders about our renovation plans.
Renovating your home is a significant investment—both financially and emotionally—and it requires placing a great deal of trust in the people bringing your vision to life.
Ultimately, it was their confidence, thoughtful approach, and the advice they gave us that helped shape our final design and led us to choose them.
We’ve been absolutely delighted with the final result.
Long before demolition began, we had numerous detailed and thoughtful conversations with Andy. These conversations, drew on Andy’s extensive experience in home renovation. Ultimately our design evolved significantly with his input and shaped the home we live in today.
From the outset, he provided us with a comprehensive breakdown of the costs involved, which gave us the clarity and confidence to invest wisely in the areas that mattered most and manage our budget. As expected with a home over 50 years old, we encountered a few unforeseen challenges along the way, but thanks to the thorough planning and guidance, we navigated them smoothly. And at any point when something unplanned came up communication was great and we overcame the challenge together.
Now that we’re in our renovated home, we couldn’t be happier. The flow of the floor plan and the quality of the finishes have far exceeded our expectations. We’re so grateful to Andy, and the whole team for making our dream home a reality.
